PREFACE

THIS book offers yet another view on the interpretation of the great prophetic texts such as the books of Daniel and the Revelation of Saint John the Divine and others. And at the same time irrespective of any particular church's dogma. It gives the opinions of the greatest contemporary and past Biblical scholars irrespective or their religious background. The book aims to reach the strictest core of the truth that is without a doubt contained in the Bible. One should not forget that the Bible is the 'book above all books' and that all the prophecies that it contains are the most accurate ones and cannot be compared to anything else. This book reminds the reader of the numerous prophecies that have already been fulfilled as well as of the way in which the ones that have not yet been fulfilled will be. Thus the Bible, with prophetic inspiration, describes the development of contemporary events that will lead this generation into the third world war. Therefore on the basis of the biblical texts we can get the description of the developments of the war as well as its conclusion. Let us remind ourselves that on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican, Michelangelo depicted the creation of the world, which by itself would not be especially important had he not, on the altar wall, also depicted the Final Judgment. Therefore, on one end we have the beginning and on the other end the finale of human history. The question is, what is between the Beginning and the End? Where is the End and what kind of an ending will it be? When will it come? A great majority of people are concerned with these questions every day. They are concerned with the unknown future that is only known to the Omniscient Being who not only knows the future but also creates it. The Being before whom the secrets of all the ages are opened. However God has not left His people without advice or warning. His prophets have sent warning throughout the millennia in referring to the unfolding of the world's history. Humankind has been directed by God's plan for our world.
